1. Developer and contact
Svensson Labs develops and is responsible for LaserPlan. For privacy questions or personal data requests, contact svenssonlabs@proton.me. The app requires no account or sign-in.
2. Information used by the app
LaserPlan creates floor plans, measures rooms and objects, connects to compatible Bluetooth laser meters and saves or exports projects. Depending on features you use, the app may handle and store these data locally:
- Projects and drawings: project, room and object names, wall and object measurements, positions, windows, doors, drawings and drafts.
- Photos: pictures you choose or take for measurement and drawing, including locally processed copies.
- Settings: language, measurement unit, appearance and app preferences.
- Bluetooth details: connected or discovered devices and measurements transmitted by compatible meters. Technical diagnostics may be displayed for troubleshooting.
- Exports and backups: PDFs and ZIP backup files that you choose to create or save.
This functional data is ordinarily stored locally on your Android device. Svensson Labs does not provide cloud synchronization or user accounts for projects. Drawings, measurements, photos and ZIP backups are not automatically uploaded to a Svensson Labs server.
3. Bluetooth, photos and permissions
Bluetooth Scan and Bluetooth Connect permissions find and communicate with laser meters. Older Android versions may require location permission for Bluetooth scanning; LaserPlan does not use it to track geographic location. Photos are selected or taken through Android image and camera functions at your request. Internet and network state access support ads and privacy preferences.
4. Advertising and data handled by Google
LaserPlan integrates Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). When advertising features are active, Google may collect and process the following for advertising, measurement, security and fraud prevention:
- IP addresses, which may also be used to estimate approximate location.
- Advertising and app interactions, such as impressions, clicks and sessions.
- Technical diagnostics, including app/ad SDK performance and errors.
- Device and advertising identifiers where available and permitted under your choices and applicable law.
Ad-related information is processed by Google and, where applicable, its advertising vendors/partners, independently of locally stored drawing files. LaserPlan does not use the contents of projects, drawings or photos for ad targeting. 4a. Crash reporting with Firebase Crashlytics
LaserPlan uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to identify crashes, understand failures and improve app stability. When enabled, Google's SDK sends technical error reports to Firebase. Data may include crash timestamps, stack traces and diagnostic information, app version, Android version, device model, state information and installation identifiers. Such reports may contain limited technical details of the app's state. LaserPlan does not intentionally attach room names, measurement values, floor plans, projects or photos to crash reports.
Google provides Crashlytics and processes these reports in accordance with Firebase's privacy and security information. The information is used for diagnostics and product stability, not to publish your drawings. Crashlytics has its own retention and deletion practices. You may contact us with questions.
5. Consent and advertising choices
LaserPlan uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and respect consent and privacy choices where required. When available, you can access Settings → Ad privacy in the app to review or change these choices. Availability depends on region and Google's consent settings. Android/Google also provide advertising ID controls.
6. Sharing
Svensson Labs does not sell drawings, room measurements or photos. Your documents are shared with others only if you actively choose to export or share them through Android. Google acts as the external ad provider and processes the technical advertising data described above. We do not collect project content on our own servers.
7. Security
Local data is kept in Android app-private storage protected by the operating system's application sandbox. We do not claim that every local project is separately encrypted by LaserPlan. Google Mobile Ads communication is normally protected in transit with TLS. Any exported files or backups are then handled by the location or service you select.
8. Retention, deletion and uninstallation
Local rooms, objects and drafts remain until you delete them in the app or clear the app's storage. Android normally removes private app storage on uninstallation. PDFs and backups exported elsewhere must be deleted by you at their destinations. Svensson Labs has no central user account or project database to delete. Google handles retention and deletion of ad-related data under its own policies. Contact us for help with privacy questions.
9. Privacy policy website
This is a static webpage hosted by Cloudflare Pages with no sign-in required. We do not embed our own tracking or ad scripts. Cloudflare may process technical access information, such as IP addresses and security logs, to deliver and protect this site; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update the policy if the app's features, data processing or service providers change. The date above indicates the latest revision.
